The inspiration for this copper wedding styled shoot was a HUGE copper pan which has hung over the stairs of my grandmother’s house forEVER!
We wanted to create something timeless, modern and elegant without being too editorial and extraordinary so real couples could be inspired and Clare from FitzGerald Photographic captured the essence of this shoot perfectly at The Sussex Barn.
Our bride was dressed in vintage pieces from Bijou Bridal with Holly Lindfield MUA providing the hair and delicate makeup; a smokey hue to work with the copper and verdigris colour palette.
Lucy from Florist On The Farm styled the floral arrangements using a mix of soft dusky blues of the succulents, trailing amaranthus, hydrangeas and large leaves which she sprayed copper. Let us not forget to the mention that FLOWER CROWN either!!
I was the Concept Stylist for the shoot and used the delicate hanging feathers over the bold table design to create a touch of whimsy without being too fussy. I used items from my hire portfolio to dress the entire shoot and the grey crockery and purple linen juxtaposed the heavy copper to create the elegant and modern feel yet still using vintage props and glassware.
Liz from Sylvia’s Kitchen created the rich copper tiered cake to complete the opulent banquet feel which side steps the traditional but fit in perfectly in this barn location.
