Our Top 5 Suggestions for an Unforgettable Glamping Hen Party

Organising a hen party for your friend is one of the greatest honours you can be given. Once you’ve come up with the all-important guest list and found a date that works for you all, it’s time to decide what to do and hen party glamping is the perfect option for all brides to be.

If you’re looking for something with a relaxed vibe and a chance to make amazing memories with your girl gang, then hen party glamping could be just the thing for you. You can involve fun and games or make it outdoorsy and chill, depending on what the bride-to-be would like the most.

Look at our list below for some fab ideas when planning an unforgettable glamping hen party for your bestie.

1.  Create a Mini Festival

Recreate your best memories by whacking up the tunes and jamming to some of your favourite songs from back in the day. Add some glitter and wellies for effect but avoid the mud and queues! You can just enjoy dancing along to some of your favourite tunes with your best friends and make new memories that will last a lifetime.

2. Play Some Lawn Games

Split your group up into teams, set up some old-school games and encourage a bit of cheeky competition with prizes for the winners. This is great if there is a group of people who don’t know each other well at the glamping hen party. Games like egg and spoon races, Jenga and sack races are great fun and won’t cos the earth to set up either.

3.  Food, Glorious Food!

With lots of mouths to feed, get everyone to help cook a huge meal such as tapas or mezze so there are lots of things to try out and everyone is catered for. Gather around a big table or set up a picnic blanket outside and eat, drink and chat until the early hours at the glamping hen party.

4. Get out and get exploring

Break up the weekend of glamping with a little trip outdoors. Get everyone in the car and go exploring in the nearby town or village to check out some local shops and treat yourself to a pub lunch. Check out the local bars and clubs for a dance and giggle then head back to your glamping hen do bell tent for a night under the stars.

Or maybe a trip to the local woods for a local nature walk is more your bride-to-be’s thing. Get your hiking boots on and spend the day exploring the great British countryside before rewarding yourselves with hot chocolate and pizza back at basecamp.

5. Chat, Chat, Chat.

Build a fire, get cosy with some blankets, open a bottle of wine and take some time to connect with friends, both old and new. Sometimes the best evenings are those that just flow with no plans, just good company. That is what hen party glamping is all about after all.

Our Hen party glamping options are endless. Have a chat with us about our hen party glamping ideas and find out how we can help you with the planning, just email us on victoria@victorialilyevents.co.uk as we would love to chat.

How to Entertain Children at your Bell Tent wedding

So, you’ve booked your Bell Tent wedding, it’s a family occasion and the children are a big part of your special day.

Once you’ve decided you want children at your Bell Tent wedding, it’s important to think about what part of the big day they will be involved in. Is it just the reception, or the ceremony too?

It’s a good idea to make a list of your family and friends that have children and consider their ages before you invite them. It’s also helpful to get the opinions of friends and family too – some parents might welcome no children during the ceremony, but others could be offended. Remember, it’s your big day so what you decide as a couple is final.

There are many ways you can involve children in your big day, for example, giving out programmes, confetti throwing and even making them bridesmaids or page boys.

However, keeping children entertained all day requires some thought and by putting in the effort, it will mean everyone can have the best day ever at your Bell Tent wedding.

With this in mind, we highly recommend setting up a ‘Children’s Only Bell Tent’ and turning it into a ‘play den’ which has games and activities in, just for them. It could even involve their own picnic food and special items that the children have chosen themselves. We offer ‘Chill Out Tents’ that are perfect for this and can be adapted to suit your requirements.

You can also hire entertainment to keep the little ones busy, such as circus skills or other children’s entertainers, but is often the simplest games and activities that keep them busy, for example football, 3 in a row and Jenga. You may find the older guests enjoying them too!

We have lots of ideas and contacts when it comes to entertaining your little guests, so if you need any inspiration, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

You can contact us on our social channels, @victorialilyevents, via email, victoria@victorialilyevents.co.uk or find out more about us at www.victorialilyevents.co.uk

5 Tips for Planning Glamping Bell Tent Wedding This Summer

Glamping weddings are the best! Having the option to continue the party into the night or make the celebrations last a whole weekend is up there with our top reasons to choose Bell Tents for your wedding.

Spending the evening surrounded by the cackle of a camp fire, with the wine flowing and twinkling fairy lights in the background is just perfect. Then waking up with your friends and family to discuss the nights antics over a hot coffee in the morning mist is something magical.

If you’re thinking about booking one of our Bell Tents for your wedding party, here are our top 5 things to consider when planning:

  • Location

Finding a venue for a wedding is a big decision. When considering a Bell Tent wedding, you need to make sure you have enough space for the amount of Bell Tents you’ll need – whether this is hiring a field or using your own back garden. You’ll also need to think about toilets too! We have years of experience in different locations and venues and are happy to chat through your ideas to make sure you’ve covered everything.

We are able to offer our services in London, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire so if you need inspiration or suggestions of venues in these areas, we can help with that too.

  • Quantity needed

Decide on how many Bell Tents you’ll need. This is dependent on how many guests you have and how many you would like in each Bell Tent. We have guest Bell Tents that sleep 1-2 or 3-4 people. We also have a Honeymoon Suite for the newlyweds and a chill-out tent that can host up to 30 people at a time.  Get in touch if you need to chat through your plans and help with the numbers – we like a math-related conundrum!

  • Decide on a theme

Our Bell Tents come with all of the cosy bits you can think of – from rugs and cushions, to fairy lights and bunting. But we also welcome you to bring personal bits and bobs that represent who you are as a couple – so if you have a theme you want to stick to, we’d be happy to chat this through with you and incorporate it where we can.

  • Make sure guests know what to expect

It’s important to let guests know what to expect so they can plan and dress appropriately. Maybe stiletto heels in a field is not the best idea, and a warmer jacket for the evening Is probably sensible. Giving information on parking and sleeping arrangements help people to relax and will make sure everyone has a fantastic time celebrating your big day with you.

  • Plan for rain

There is nothing worse than feeling stressed about the weather forecast a week before your wedding – have a wet weather plan. We are super experienced in the great British weather, so are more than happy to discuss this with you too.

Our Wedding Bell Tent hire options suit all budgets, group sizes, location and comfort. Bell Tent wedding hire is the perfect alternative wedding guest accommodation option and we are able to offer our services in London, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Booking with us is often cheaper than booking a taxi home from a venue, so to find out more, visit www.victorialilyevents.co.uk or email victoria@victorialilyevents.co.uk

What a year it’s been!

Can you believe that 2023 is already upon us? As we wrap up 2022, we’re proud of Victoria Lily Events and the success of 2022. We thought we’d take a moment to share a selection of our hires during the year to inspire you for your next event!

Our bell tent hires have been to East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and further afield. We’ve set up luxury bell tents for weddings, festivals, parties, hen parties and even corporate events – It’s been a full-on year but exciting none-the-less!

We started 2022 with 72 amazing weddings, hen parties, birthday parties, school events and family gatherings, and ended with 91 events!

Family gatherings in the garden

One of our early bell tent hires was set up for a wonderful family in their back garden! They chose a perfect weekend where the sun was shining on the Sunshine Coast. We kitted their bell tent with relaxed neutral vibes, added our famous bunting and left them to enjoy the bell tent for the weekend. It’s such a wonderful feeling knowing you’re helping families make memories!

Summertime

Summer was a crazy period for us as we juggled 50-70 bell tents between May and July alone..whilst negotiating with our little diva! We also attended the Luxe Boho Wedding Fair in Crawley Down which was a brilliant opportunity for us to meet happy couples planning their big day.

Going above and beyond for our clients

In amongst the incredible chaos of Summer, we received a call to say a couple were let down for their wedding bell tents a few days before their wedding, there was no way that we were going to let this opportunity pass (could you imagine the stress the couple were under to find another supplier?) So we hopped in the van and drove an 11 hour round trip to Blackpool to pitch 34 guest tents and a honey moon suite. The newly weds were delighted to say the least, a proud moment for the Victoria Lily team!

WOW WOW WOW!

September saw us pitch 26 sleeping bell tents and our 7m chill out tent around a fire pit for M + M’s wedding bash at the Two Woods Estate in Sussex. We even received an incredible review following their set up “WOW WOW WOW!! It’s stunning! We are blown away. You worked some magic here! We can not thank you enough.” So if you’re looking at wedding bell tents for 2023, contact us as we’d love to make your dreams come true.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through booking a bell tent hire, or by recommending our services and for commenting/liking on our social channels.

If you have any further questions about bell tent hire, visit www.victorialilyevents.co.uk or email victoria@victorialilyevents.co.uk and we will be more than happy to chat with you.

HEN PARTY GLAMP CAMP

Glamping – or glamorous camping – is no doubt one of the best ways to spend a weekend with your best pals. If you’ve got a date in the diary for a glamping hen do, you are probably wondering what to pack? We’ve put together this handy blog with everything you’ll need to consider when headed of for your first bell tent hen do.

The essentials

We have got most of the essentials covered, such as bedding and other soft furnishings. Depending on the type of hen do and the size of the bell tent you’re hiring, there are other essentials you’re going to need, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Kitchen must haves

If you plan to cook, it’s important to remember to bring a stove and pans, cups, cutlery and plates. You’ll also want to bring a teapot to enjoy a hot cuppa in nature when dawn breaks – there really is nothing quite like it.

You’ll need to pack cleaning supplies too – from washing up liquid to sponges and towels, so you can your cooking bits ready to use again. We also recommend bringing a dustpan and brush for any crumbs or spillages that may get on your nerves.

Bedroom bits

Although we provide the most comfortable of beds for you to doze in, some people do prefer the comfort of their own pillow, so you are welcome to bring your own. But one thing you most definitely will need are your pjs – you might also want to bring some cosy socks or slippers to keep your toes warm, although the heating is there should you need it.

Bathroom accessories

No matter what type of hen do you’re planning, your bathroom essentials are going to be required. You will want to bring your toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and a small mirror. While we do provide some basics, you will need to supply most of your own, so keep this in mind when packing your bags.

Other bits and bobs

Your phone charger is probably considered an essential. Plus, depending on the time of year, swimwear, suncream and mosquito repellent is too! Remember your medication and other personal items such as creams, make ups, clothes and other home comforts.

Being outside in nature is a great way to enjoy time with your best girl pals, especially at a hen party glamp camp! We know you’re going to have the best time and with your essentials packed, you can get ready to make memories that last a lifetime!

BELL TENT HIRE

Bell tents sure look pretty, but do you know what they do? And would you know why you should hire one for your event?  We’ve written a few reasons blog to explain why we think everyone should consider a hiring a bell tent for their special occasion.

They’re big

The first thing to note is it is super hard to give a realistic idea of the space inside a bell tent than a photograph will allow. We have bell tents in a variety of sizes, from 4 metres up to 7 meters. To give you an idea, 4-meter tents will comfortably fit 2-3 people and 7 metre tents 25-30 people. Our bell tents often surprise people when they see the amount of space inside.

We offer bell tents that sleep 1-2 people or 4-5 people comfortably with furnishings and room for your luggage. We have seen them set up with 6 single beds inside, although we prefer to make sure you have plenty of room around you to make your experience more comfortable.

They’re great for all occasions

The bell tents we hire out across Sussex, London, Essex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire are used for a variety of different occasions.

We’ve seen bell tent hire for hen parties, weddings, christenings, birthday parties (for both children and adults) garden parties, BBQs, retirement parties, festivals, honeymoons and family reunions.

They’re practical

Our bell tents offer shelter from all the elements such as the rain or the sun. The addition of lanterns and lights both inside and out can make the bell tents feel even more magical when the sun goes down.

They’re beautiful

We get lots of feedback from customers to say they didn’t realise quite how stunning our bell tents are until they saw them in real life. We pride ourselves on providing crisp, clean, light, bright and luxurious interiors.

We are super proud of our beautiful bell tent set ups so check us out on Instagram, on Facebook or on Pinterest where we love to share pictures and videos of our pretty set ups.

If you have any further questions about bell tent hire, visit www.victorialilyevents.co.uk or email victoria@victorialilyevents.co.uk and we will be more than happy to chat with you.
